On 15^th June this year, on a beautiful sunny day, we celebrated the 80^th anniversary of the death of Evelyn Underhill, who is buried in our Additional Burial Ground, with the blessing of a new, specially commissioned, ledger stone for her grave.  It was a pleasure then to receive this email from Robin Wrigley-Carr, a leading Evelyn Underhill scholar:

“It was good to have contact recently regarding the article about your new ledger stone for Church Times. I hope all is going well your end and you’ve had lots of visitors to the graveyard, admiring it. I look forward to visiting when I can and leaving one of Underhill’s favourite flowers!
