The Bible Book Club is morphing….
…… into the Bible Coffee Club and the Bible Breakfast Club.
In September the Bible Book Club will have been running for a year and now feels like a good time to review and to make some changes.
Each month we read one book of the Bible from either the Old Testament or the New Testament. No great theological knowledge or understanding is required. Participants just have to read the book and there are usually Bible Society notes at the back of the church for those who would like them. There are then two opportunities to discuss it – one on a Wednesday morning and one on a Monday evening for those who can’t make a day time session
The Wednesday morning session has gone really well and we have had some great discussions. But Monday evenings have been very quiet. However several people who are tied up during the day have said that they would like to have a chance to join in.
From September there will be a Bible Coffee Club on Wednesday mornings and tea and real coffee for those who come. These sessions will continue to be between an hour and an hour and a half. On Saturday mornings there will be a Bible Breakfast Club. Appreciating that there is often a lot to do on free Saturdays these sessions will run from 9.30 am and finish promptly at 10.30 am. Tea, real coffee and croissants will be provided for everyone. If you want to bring anything else like your porridge or favorite muesli please do.
