When everyone’s urged to make good cheer!
Perhaps you love all that Christmas shopping? –
Or maybe it drives you simply hopping
Mad, desperately seeking some distraction …
But there’s no need to moan with dissatisfaction!

An entertaining Literary Hour
Is just the thing to restore one’s power!!
From ancient Rome to present day
There’s so much more than Santa’s sleigh
That has been written in prose and verse,
To which but few could be averse.

All are welcome at our literary feast
And as it’s free you won’t be fleeced!
There’s even coffee at the end
With time to chat to many a friend
And, considering the Grade 1 listed connection,
               Donations are welcome in a retiring collection.
