Last term the Reading Group very much enjoyed reading and discussing
Richard Holloway’s ‘Leaving Alexandria’ and Ben Quosh’s ‘Abiding’!
About a dozen of us gathered together – please do come again if you came in the autumn, and if you didn’t, then please do come and join us!

The Committee have chosen for January/February 2014
Marcus Borg and Tom Wright’s ‘The Meaning of Jesus’  (HarperOne)  £9.99 (£7.19 Amazon)

Borg from the perspective of critical scholarship, and Wright from the traditionalist point of view, present their varying ideas about who Jesus was, what he taught, and what he did.
I am sure that together we shall have some stimulating discussion!
(both have an accessible writing style)

Please note the DATES for next term
We meet for 5 consecutive Wednesday evenings at 8.00 pm from January, the 29th to the last Wednesday before Ash Wednesday, 26th February 2014. Meeting in the Crypt Room at Hampstead Parish Church

So we have lots of time to get reading!
The book has 8 sections, and we shall look at one or two sections for each meeting It would be great if you could read the first two sections for 29th January.
