Cleaning co-ordinator wanted Beryl Dowsett

Our grade 1 listed building is fortunate in having a dedicated team of efficient and effective volunteers to clean it.  I have been co-ordinating the team for several years and serving as a cleaner for very much longer.  It is now time to stand down (which I will do at Christmas) and for someone (hopefully much younger than me) to step in and take over.

Apart from any new recruits who may come along in the meantime, all the volunteers know what their various duties are and which part of the church they are responsible for.  This makes co-ordinating an easy task.  The co-ordinator must (ideally) be in attendance on the cleaning dates (usually 5 times per year).  In my case I have also been cleaning the choir stalls.  I have a plan of the body of the church and a list of ‘who does what’ so all the necessary details and instructions will be made available.

I can be contacted on my email address which appears at the back of the magazine or on occasions when I am in church.
