The Big Fair Bake: Buy it. Bake it. Share it

24 September – 4 October 2012
Baking tastes better when you share, and it tastes even better with Fairtrade ingredients!  As a Fairtrade campaigner you can use your cake to make things change. All you need to do is to buy Fairtrade ingredients*, bake a campaign cake and share it. This could be one big cake or you could bake lots of cup cakes for everyone to sign in icing. To show your support you can

Present your campaign cake to your local MPs, asking them to make an official commitment to support Fairtrade.
Take your campaign cake to your local supermarket or other business, asking them to stock more Fairtrade. To help you get the most impact we have created some guidelines here.
Take your campaign cake to your local radio station or newspaper and ask them to spread the word about Fairtrade.

Don’t forget to take a picture of your group and their campaign cake and send it to us so we can show the world how much support there is for Fairtrade in the UK. Sarah, Jo, Celia, Bruce, Adam and Kate, The Campaigns Team     [email protected]
* We stock Dried Fruit, Nuts, Sugar, Honey, Chocolate.  You can get Fairtrade Tate and Lyle icing sugar at some supermarkets.

On 7th October we will celebrate the Big Fair Bake with Fairtrade cakes with our coffee.
