THE SUNNINGHILL CHURCH ORGAN CAN YOU HELP ?
The pedals on the organ of St Michael’s Church Sunninghill were installed in 1899 and are a pattern quite different from all organs elsewhere in the country ( this will be very confusing for all young students when they try to play elsewhere ). Moreover, they have become very noisy and rattle audibly. The church has been offered free of charge a modern pedal board ( made by the famous firm of Harrison and Harrison for Hampstead Parish Church ): but the organ builders who have made a thorough examination already will need to spend three weeks installing it, and the work will cost £5000 plus VAT. Can anyone help by giving something towards this project ? If you can do so, please send a cheque ( made payable to St Michael and All Angels PCC ) and addressed to:
