Odyssey Trust

An introduction to the
Odyssey Trust
one of the charities supported by the parish

The Odyssey Trust launched on 1st October 2002 when City Roads [Crisis Intervention] Ltd merged with Milton House Trust. Working together with the Odyssey Trust, City Road and Milton Services are continuing to deliver effective services, more efficiently, to those whose lives are devastated because of their drug use. The Trust works within Camden and Islington.

City Roads
City Roads has developed a reputation as a centre of excellence, which was acknowledge din 2002 by key agencies such as the Audit Office. Its emergency helpline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for access to treatment for those whose lives are in danger and who can no longer cope in the community. It offers short-stay, holistic treatment including detoxification, health and social care.
Milton House
In 1991 Milton House opened a revolutionary residential programme based on helping drug users attain the necessary skills to sustain an independent life in the community. The 16 week programme offers people the opportunity to look at issues related to their drug abuse whilst developing education and employment skills.
Milton Community Programmes
The Skills Centre opened in 1993 to offer day programme interventions to clients living in the community. Since then it has been at the forefront of developing a range of innovative skills based structured programmes and short term interventions. Odyssey Tacit recognises that long term recovery relies on clients engaging with education and employment at the earliest opportunity.

Dovetail
dovetail helps those drugs users who may have lost their support contacts or may have never been in contact with drug services. It helps people look at their current support needs, future needs and options for dug treatment, and supports them through the referral process.

Milton Criminal Justice Programme
This is a community-based programme designed for people whose drug use is interwoven with a criminal history. They have been arrested for a drug related office and may be in contact with the London Probation Service or related project. Participants must have a commitment to either stabilising their drug use or being drug-free.
