In appreciation of the Summer Evensong Choir Valerie Wells

Evensong in August; a very sizeable Summer Evensong Choir and a small congregation which included two homeless visitors. The choir’s singing was beautiful and uplifting, so much so, that at the end of The Magnificat, one homeless visitor was moved to stand up and applaud and shout Bravo! Undoubtedly this was the sentiments of all present, and raised a smile on my face and Mother Sarah’s response was a broad smile too!
We miss our usual choir very much while they take their well deserved summer holiday and we welcome their return in September, but the contribution of the summer evensong choir is greatly appreciated. They are an inspiring, musical voluntary choir. A warm thank you to all.”
