Leave a Legacy
Leaving a legacy is an excellent means of supporting the mission and ministry of Hampstead Parish Church in the longer term. We are very grateful to those who give in this way.
We aim to use legacies to fund capital and long-term projects rather than day to day running costs. Recent examples have included the installation of new lighting, the installation of solar panels, and investment in new office technology.
It is preferable for legacies to be left for “the general purposes of the parish”. A legacy for a specific purpose can only be received if it has been agreed that we can meet the conditions which apply. Please check with the church that this is possible before making such a provision.
We will acknowledge gifts and commemorate donors in whatever way is appropriate. Equally, we can make sure that gifts remain anonymous if preferred.
If you wish to contribute to Hampstead Parish Church from your estate, we suggest that you make or amend your will with the help of a solicitor.
This wording is suggested:
I bequeath the sum of [amount] to
the Parish Church of St.John-at-Hampstead
for the general purposes of the parish.
Thank you.
