Come to our Community Sponsorship launch event on Friday 13th October
Hampstead Parish Church and Churches together in Hampstead are applying to become Community Sponsors for two refugee families.
To support the two applications we are holding a Launch Event on Friday 13th October starting at 6.30 pm. It promises to be a fun evening.
We are thrilled to have two very talented Middle Eastern musicians taking part. Merit Ariane who blends Arab and Western contemporary and classical influences in her music to create a unique sound. Merit has performed at Shakespeare’s Globe and collaborated with major UK opera houses including the Royal Opera House and Opera North.
To get a taste of this treat go onto her website http://www.meritariane.com/home.shtml
Also performing is the talented Sudanese singer and jambe player Mohamed Sarrar. He is a Sudanese refugee who doesn’t yet have a website but I have heard recordings of his voice and he is super.
There will also be poetry reading and refugee stories.
And if that is not enough there will be Middle Eastern food and a chance to meet our MP Tulip Siddiq
Please do come along and support this event and also find out how you can help and become involved. Entry is with a free ticket. You can get a ticket on Eventbrite. To book a ticket put https://goo.gl/93Ky9d into your browser. Or email [email protected] and we will send you a ticket
