Henry SHARPE

For 28 years the greatly loved vicar of Trinity Church, Hampstead, and for 7 years previously Minister of the temporary church, Hampstead Fields. Sharpe came to Hampstead from the back woods of Canada to develop the new parish of Holy Trinity, Finchley road. The temporary Mission Hall was in Belsize Lane but Sharpe spent some time preaching to the navvies building the railway’s Belsize Tunnel, often 60 feet below ground
